Social Good Brasil Conference

October 29, 2012 Filed Under: Innovation

From November 6-8 – 2012 I will be in Florianopolis, Brazil to keynote the Social Good Brazil – The Seminar, which brings together influential minds, social entrepreneurs and innovators, and connecting people from all walks of life to share ideas and actions to make the world a better place using technology, social media and innovative thinking. This will be my first visit to South America and I could not have asked for a more joyous introduction to social good and social media in that country.
The seminar is an opportunity to for a wide range of change makers in that country to engage in the global conversation put forward by the UN Foundation and see the work of inspiring Brazilians such as Reinaldo Pamponet(itsnoon.net), Mauro Segura (aquintaonda.blogspot.com.br) and Rodrigo Bandeira (cidadedemocratica.org.br).   I will be part of a delegation of experts from the US who will be speaking.  This includes:  Peter Sims (Author of “Little Bets”), Aaron Sherinian (VP of Communications and PR of the UN Foundation), and  Simon Mainwaring (“We First”).
Check the agenda, the list of speakers, follow the entire event via live stream and engage in the global conversation through Facebook and Twitter.   Learn more on the web site.

Beth, thanks for mentioning this program. You are amazingly connected; it must overwhelm you from time to time. Do you use Basecamp for project management by chance? I find it enormously helpful in connecting far-flung collaborators. Bev Freeman, Boston, Mass.

    Bev,
    Overwhelming, yes!
I use a number of collaboration programs because I have to teach them. I like backpack, basecamp, private google sites, central desktop, and wikispaces.
    It takes being uber organized.

Thank you so much Beth! We are looking forward to having you here in Brazil. Social Good Brazil will be an unforgetable seminar. Best, Fernanda
