What To Do When There Is An Emergency? Red Cross has an App for that!

June 14, 2012 Filed Under: Digital Strategy

Go check out the new American Red Cross First Aid App, available free for both iPhone and Android.  The Red Cross is releasing the app this morning and it’s the first in a series of Red Cross preparedness apps that will be unveiled this year. It also includes a number of features that go beyond what is currently available in other free first aid apps—particularly the ability to earn and share badges with your social network.
This easy-to-use app will help you learn first aid steps for the most common situations, as well as allow you to tap to call 9-1-1 if you need help. You can access all the app’s content even without Internet access so you can be safe on the go. Unlike many other first aid apps on the market, it also includes trusted Red Cross disaster preparedness information for a number of common emergencies such as tornadoes, severe weather and snow storms.
Want to be the first to install this app, text GETFIRST to 90999 to receive a link to download the app directly to their phone on June 14.
